House Ginseng
This product was formerly referred to in our literature as "Grandpa's Ginseng." But it is not made for grandpas - it was developed by "Grandpa" - actually, Yanlin Teeguarden's father, Yan Yin-Pan, whom many of the Dragon Herbs staff fondly refer to as "Grandpa." In fact, Dr. Yan (A.K.A. "Grandpa") is one of China's most accomplished and respected pharmaceutical scientists who has specialized for the last thirty years in nutraceutical extraction technology. For this product, he developed a special extraction technique to optimize the benefits of Ginseng. To end the confusion (this product is not just for grandpas), we will henceforth refer to this extract simply as Dragon Herbs "House Ginseng."
House Ginseng is a potent herbal extract made from our naturally grown, very high quality House Ginseng, grown in the famous Chiangbai Mountains of northeastern China (Manchuria). The roots used to produce Dragon Herbs House Ginseng are eight years old and are from the same region as Shu Chu Ginseng and Emperor Preserved Ginseng. Some go through a simple steaming process with Jujube Dates, resulting in Red Ginseng. Others are simply sun dried, resulting in White Ginseng. Both Red and White Ginseng are used to make Dragon Herbs House Ginseng. Processing is done in a village near the Ginseng plantation under the watchful eye of a longtime Dragon Herbs agent. Because Dragon Herbs purchases all the Ginseng available from this plantation, we maintain close quality control. For the past ten years we have been using this Ginseng to make our House (Grandpa's) Ginseng. It is extracted and made into a tincture using a special process to assure complete extraction of the active ingredients of both White and Red Ginseng ("Grandpa's Yan's technique"). Though it is the extract of just two varieties of Ginseng (Red and White --- both from the same original variety and plantation), the effect of this Ginseng is quite noticeable. It has superb Ginseng flavor and provides a broad range of ginsenosides. It is a perfectly balanced Ginseng product suitable to most people and may be used indefinitely as an adaptogenic supplement.

Panax Ginseng (Chinese Ginseng) is one of the most famous and valued herbs used by mankind, Panax Ginseng is an energy tonic that regulates the human energy system. It has been shown to be stimulating and regulatory to both the central nervous system and to the endocrine system. It is the primary Qi tonic of Chinese tonic herbalism.
Panax Ginseng helps a person to adapt to all kinds of stresses, and enhances endurance and resilience under stressful conditions. It has thus been termed an "adaptogenic" substance by scientific researchers. Panax Ginseng is also used to tonify digestive and respiratory functions. Panax Ginseng contains many active ingredients, but the most important are the saponins called ginsenosides.
